No, I am not dead! It's just that this Dozing Green by Dir en Grey illustration for took me for about a week to complete, of which three first days I just pracitcally listened to the song over and over again, read the lyrics out loud, stared at the video, and tried desperately to come to think of something out of it. Yes, I LOVED doing this, even though I found the thinking process extremely frustrating. I love this song, and I kinda grew to love it even more while doing this, so I really did wanna do a good job on it and try not to rape it, heh.

If you are ever going to only listen to one song by Dir en Grey, please, PLEASE do pick Dozing Green! I think it's pretty much DeG in a nutshell song. I mean, it has it all: it has some awesome acapella, it has amazing lyrics, it even has a half-way reasonable video, hahah. (Seriously, some of 'em can be... Well, lets just say that if you can't hack Dozing Green, do not try Obscure. xD)

Hanyways, now it's done. Feels kinda odd. I worked so hard on it, ya know, and now that I'm actually done with it... What now? I hope you like it, dear Draug! I love it, believe me! I think it's just the best work I've done. Like, I actually managed to make it look like exactly the way I wanted it to look like. I'm pretty proud of myself, teehee. ^^

I used B2 pencil, colored pencils, pen and ink, watercolors, and Copic Ciaos. And some editing, of course again, since the scanner killed my pretty pretty greens big time.
And the references... I wasn't exactly planning on drawing Kyo when I started with this, but I knew the pose I wanted the person in this to be in. And it just so happened, that I found this [link] perfect head reference and it happened to be of Kyo's. So... yeah. But it's not his hand. I took a picture of my own and used it. So if anyone goes yelling at me, how I raped Kyo-sama's flawless legacy by giving him my own hand... Too bad! Been there, done that; no good to cry when the milk's been spilled already.
